A Web Analytics Analyst most of the time is submerged in megabyte and gigabytes of data, no matter which Analytical solution you use. Trying to make sense from these data and trying the get the best report which will help you take "data driven decision" is indeed a great challenge, but that's what i love about web analytics.
I feel it's important to have a clear understanding of what i call the "Web Analytics basics", i myself go back to check the glossary or the definition of few metrics, report type or anything related to web analytics.
So here in the Back to basics series, iam planning to post all the basic knowledge one needs on a daily basis. So here what i plan to follow in the back to basic
If there's something important i ignored!, please feel free to let me know via comment i'll be glad to add to the list.
Note: I have tried to cover all the topics which according to industry experts are prerequisite for a Web Analyst
1) Terminology
2) Methods of tracking
