Key Performance Indicators

Getting back from where i stopped, the next post was about Key performance indicators for different buisness model. Recently there was a discussion or infact a query asked by one of the analyst on what would be the KPI's for B2B sites. Although there are set KPI's for all buisness model, but understanding or questioning yourself about few basic things helps answer this question!
Here are few things which needs to be anwered before determining KPI's for any buisness model.

  1. What is the business purpose behind the site?
  2. What do I want my visitors to do while they are on the site?
  3. What are the success events on my site?
  4. What are the goals of the site over a specified period of time
Answering all above is the key to determine KPI's for any site/buisness model.

I recommend everybody reading this great post by Adam Berlinger who explains the same in detail.
